Art Under Construction

Western Machine
is displayed with pottery by Jim Bailey. And below is the Art Under Construction press release. You can click on it to view a larger, readable image. In this show Western Machine (part of my 2008 body of work in progress of gouache on illustration board, cut and pasted) and Dying Trying II (from my Alaskan Series, a gouache and oil pastel) make their debut. Also hanging in the Lower Gallery is LifeSpin and Gettin' The Job Done, both were part of the EnRoute Exhibit but were carried over into this one so as to be part of my demos for Youth Arts Month.

En Route Exhibit Up at the Minot AFB Library!

What follows is the press release. I am very happy to have this exhibit hanging on base so that the people who live the life that inspired the art can view it. --Jason

The artists then have the chance to demo their art to over 50 classes of Minot Public School children throughout the month, afterwards the kids enjoy an art project lead by the Education Coordinator, Margaret Lee ( who was the facilitator on this day who you see and hear on the video), or the Executive Director, Nancy Brown. The area artists include Jim Bailey, Karen Davidson, Andrea Donovan, Bill Harbort, Linda Olson, Doug Pfliger, Walter Piehl, Patrick Sheldon, Tom Willis, and Jason Hargrove
